Windows tablet is always associated with Microsoft’s Surface Pro series and its expensive four-figure price tag. But Archos has announced a small-form-factor Windows tablet for an affordable price of $149.
The Archos 80 Cesium Windows tablet includes an 8-inch IPS screen offering 1,280×800 resolution, and will come pre-installed with Windows 8.1 right out of the box. Inside Archos has included an “Intel quad-core processor” of unknown design—Archos isn’t divulging those details right now.
“Our upcoming line-up of consumer products delivers amazing performance, superior design and impressive affordability,” says Archos CEO Loic Poirier. “We are committed to making technology universally available and are proud to shape the market by providing high quality, yet attainable devices.”
The Archos 80 Cesium Windows tablet is just one of the products Archos will be showing off next week at the IFA show in Berlin.
